Vijay Laxmi Sharma
Dr. Vijay Laxmi Sharma is a Professor of Law and has acted in the leadership position as Director & Head of the Department of School of Law, Manipal University Jaipur. She has a rich and versatile teaching experience of over Seventeen years. During her illustrious career, she has efficiently and diligently, shouldered administrative and student welfare assignments and has donned multiple caps of different hierarchies within the University effortlessly. She was also awarded MUJ President's Award on 26th January 2016, for her excellent performance in Academics and guided several Doctoral students. She has organized legal awareness camps for law students and society. Her research area is woman Empowerment and child welfare. She is actively associated with various NGOs and organizations for legal counseling. Her zeal, wisdom, and go-getter attitude have established her as the face of the School of Law and in turn has led to the organization of multiple events like visits of law students to Supreme Court, High Court, Juvenile Court, and Session Court, Moot Courts and Seminars. She has chaired several National and International Seminars and has been vocal on several talks shows where she had argued her points well and had been felicitated as well. She is a legal advisor on the panel for a number of leading hospitals like CK Birla Hospital, EHCC Hospital, Narayana Heart Hospital, Jaipur and Manipal Integrated Services, Jaipur for prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace and has been part of various legal committees in the mainstream industrial setup. She has been often consulted by various confidential government assignments for its regular activities as a subject expert. She has also authored a very acclaimed book on Child Rights.
