Selcuk Colakoglu
Dr. Selcuk Colakoglu received his BA from the Department of International Relations at Ankara University, obtained his MA from the Department of International Relations at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, and completed his PhD in the Department of International Relations at Ankara University in 2003. He worked as a visiting professor of the Department of Turkish Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul, South Korea (1999-2001). He became an associate professor of international relations in 2008 in Turkey. He served as the Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Nazilli (2006-2007), the Chair of Department of International Relations (2008-2012) and the Director of Graduate School of Social Sciences (2011-2012) at Adnan Menderes University in Aydin, Turkey. He became a professor of international relations at Yildirim Beyazit University in Ankara in 2013. Dr. Colakoglu was a visiting research fellow at the Korea Foundation in Seoul in 2007, The Near East and South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Research at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. in 2013, and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) in Sejong, in 2015. He was an advisor for the Center for Strategic Research (SAM) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey (2011-2013) and Vice-President of the International Strategic Research Organization (USAK) (2013-2016). He is also Founding Director of the Turkish Center for Asia-Pacific Studies (APAC) in Ankara, Turkey. Dr. Colakoglu is currently a faculty of the Globalization and Development Program at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China.
