Remenyi Peter

Dr. Péter Reményi was born in Pécs, Hungary, 07.10.1978. He studied geography and history at the University of Pécs, received his master in geography with a specialization in urban studies and regional development in 2002. He completed his PhD studies at the same university obtaining PhD degree in political geography in 2009. Since then he works at the University of Pécs, as an assistant later a lecturer teaching various subjects to BSc and MSc students, including political geography, regional development and Balkan related classes. His recent research activity focuses on nation and state building in the Balkans, post-conflict reconciliation, border studies and migration. He is the author of more than 60 articles and book chapters, the independent citations to his works exceed 70. He is the vice editor-in-chief of Mediterránés Balkán Fórum, a peer reviewed open access e-journal of the University of Pécs and member of the international editorial board of Zbornik Radova – Geografski Fakultet Univerziteta u Beogradu, a peer reviewed journal of the University of Belgrade.
