Ezio Benedetti

Dr. Ezio Benedetti is currently engaged as Senior Key Expert and Team Leader in two different EU funded projects in the Western Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo) implemented by the British Council. Both projects are focused on Higher Education and Public Administration Reform. Also, he is Assistant to the Chair and Lecturer in EU Policies and EU Law within the Degree in International and Diplomatic Studies (Department of Social and Political Studies) of the University of Trieste. Since 2001 he has been Associate Professor and Lecturer at the University of Trieste in EU Law, Public International Law, and Human Rights. His scientific interests range from human rights to EU Law. Also, since October 2019 he has been engaged as an expert and consultant in the project Anetrec which is focused on academic cooperation and post-conflict reconciliation in the region (6 academic partners from 6 different WB countries). He published more than 30 articles and 3 books on EU integration, migration, human rights, and the Western Balkans accession process. Currently, he is engaged as a lecturer and researcher in Erasmus + Jean Monnet implemented by the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Trieste. Also, since 2018 he provides for regular seminars (twice a year) to ca. 40 students per year enrolled in the Advanced Master on South Eastern Studies organized by the University of Amsterdam, Department of Political Science.
