Andi Luhur Prianto
Andi Luhur Prianto is Vice-Dean for Academic and Cooperation Affairs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, Indonesia. He previously held the position of Chairman of Department of the Government Studies from 2009 to 2018. He received his academic background including BA in Political Science and Government, MS in Development Administration (Public Policy), and Ph.D in Political Science (Islamic Politics) with a specific interest in the institutionalization of democracy in Muslim society, political parties and elections. His research focuses on governance, religion and politics, digital society, climate change governance and democratic institutions. The author has published several books, such as the forthcoming book chapter “Resilient Cities, Vulnerable Communities: Disaster Governance in the Coastal Cities in Indonesia”, in A. Singh (ed.) International Handbook of Disaster Research (Springer, 2022), “Digital Technologies and Applications”, (Springer, 2022), book chapter "Citizen Participation in Selected Governance of Asia Pacific Countries” (APSPA, 2015). He has received appreciation as an honorary member of the Political Science Association of Kasetsart University, Thailand.
