AIMS:
This special issue of the Journal of Liberty and International Affairs aims to explore the intersection of sustainable development, democratic resilience, law, governance, and digital ecosystems within emerging countries. It seeks to investigate how these various factors interact and influence one another, with a focus on promoting sustainable development while safeguarding democratic principles. Through interdisciplinary analysis, the goal is to identify challenges, opportunities, and best practices for enhancing both environmental and democratic sustainability. This special issue aims to contribute to scholarly understanding in emerging nations facing complex socio-political and environmental dynamics.

The submitted papers must be written following JLIA guidelines.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY: 
The Journal of Liberty and International Affairs is an electronic and fully open-access journal, which means that all articles are freely available, ensuring maximum, worldwide dissemination of content, in exchange for an article publication fee. The journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal of Liberty and International Affairs now receives papers for its next 2024 issue (Vol. 10, No. 2, 2024). The journal aims to provide an active international forum for analysis, research, and debate in the fields of political sciences, international relations, and law. Papers that develop theoretical arguments or offer strong empirical evidence as either comparative or single-case studies are welcome. The journal is indexed in Scopus, EBSCO, DOAJ, CEEOL, SSOAR, ERIHPLUS, HeinOnline, ANVUR, UGC-CARE List Group II, Columbia International Affairs Online, ProQuest, etc.

Alongside articles within the regular scope of the journal, this issue will include a thematic section on Digital Liberties in a Globalized World. It will examine the challenges and opportunities for digital liberties in the context of globalization, discussing issues such as internet censorship, surveillance, and the impact of technology on individual freedoms worldwide.

The deadline for paper submissions is 15 April 2024
